After finding out about Ritus’ Hair Extensions Business, Joy Kuo sending texts & making calls for more information about her business.
Being Narcissist herself, Grandiosity came very naturally to Ritu. However Ritu wasn’t aware that she was digging a hole for downfall.
Ritu kept exaggerating about success in her business and my ambitious plans. Joy Kuo started to give extra attention and importance which Ritu naturally liked.
But Ritu never expected to hear back that Joy Kuo shared her desire to start a hair extensions business in Australia.
As Ritu says
“I was bit shocked as I did not see it coming. When I look back I can see how Joy was using guilt as a weapon, which was the name of our mentors and spiritual mission and manipulate to get her way out”
Simple idealization phase of a Narcissist
During this time Joy was super nice to Ritu. She would call many times to check how Ritu was and was very supportive and sort of idealizing.
“Joy Kuo wanted me to train her for free in
hair extensions and help her to set up a business in Australia”
Greed of a Narcissist
Now, when Ritu looks back in
retrospection, she clearly see how Joy was not satisfied with two existing businesses
plus a fulltime job; and Joy still had excessive greed of wanting more and more!
Game of the Narcissists
Somehow Ritu kept on wasting time and slyly kept Joy away from business. But when one of the fellow volunteer was working as a manager at Ritu’s shop, Joy Kuo immediately started using the volunteer to push cosmetic products at her shop. Ritu feels nauseous at the very thought of such greed of starting 3rd business.
Flying Monkey
Li Ping kept on requesting Ritu, however Ritu knew the flying monkey business of Joy and became party to the game consciously.
Somehow Ritu managed to keep Joy away
from the business, though it did create a bit of disagreement between Li Ping and
Ritu – despite knowing this was all coming at a cost.
The Reflective State of Mind
Ritu spent a lot of time doing self-reflection and journaling her experiences. Went to qualified psychologists to understand her shades of narcissism.
During one such session at a psychologist, when Ritu was answering certain questions on grey shades, she could recollect the behavior of Joy Kuo – who appeared to have fit the bill of a Narcissist & a calculative abuser.
Joy Kuo used to take all her frustration out by devaluing Ritu when Ritu actually needed help & support.
“Joy mocked me and made everyone go against me by constantly lying and giving a very different story to sequence of events.
Joy mercilessly bullied, harassed, pushed and yelled at Ritu when I was at my lowest point.”
Narcissists become worse when their guards are down
When Joy was visiting Ashram House to spend some time in Auckland, she took all the control of the Ashram Project and even made sure everything was done her way and her “style”.
Joy used to guilt trip Li Ping & Ritu to take advantage, manipulate and control everyone.
Joy was very petty, she would create big scene if Ritu was ready to leave for work slightly early. Joy sent horrible messages which would instigate Ritu and trap her emotion.
Narcissist never stop using
Joy used Ritu to drive her “royal highness” around and to pay for her.
Retrospectively when Ritu thinks about the sequence of events, she can actually feels she got taste of her own Narcissistic Parasite lifestyle through Joy Kuo.
After going through horrible experience with Joy Kuo, Ritu made a strong resolve to make a difference in her life and not go back to old ways of life.
Ritu says, it is quite tempting to behave how a narcissist does – after being a victim myself, I feel thankful my eyes opened right in time. Otherwise I would have been just like Joy Kuo & preying on innocent people for supply and feel good to cover up low self-esteem.
Not caring about the damage caused by inhuman actions is the worse one can do – This is exactly something Joy Kuo is doing.
